HI, I'M JESSICA.

Jessica is the founder of Workology, a digital resource that reaches more than a half million HR and workplace leaders each month and host of the Workology Podcast. Jessica is a former executive HR leader turned thought leader and entrepreneur focused on sharing resources and stories to help elevate the workplace, employees, and business leaders.

 

Jessica has spoken at global events including SHRM's Annual Conference, SXSW, Working Mother Magazine's Conference, and HR Tech Fest. She's recognized by Forbes Magazine as a top 50 social media influencer and featured by The Economist in their C-Suite series for HR. Jessica's newest book is Digitizing Talent: Creative Strategies for the Digital Recruiting Age published by SHRM in 2023.

Jessica is also a Master Certified Trainer in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a psychological approach that involves analyzing strategies used by successful individuals and applying them to reach a personal goal. Jessica lives in Austin, TX, with her husband, daughter, and an assortment of furry family members.

How to Build Rapport and Trust with Your Team

​No matter the economic market, trust is the most important currency in your workplace. As organizational leaders, it’s important for us to set the tone, especially knowing that in the US, disengaged employees cost companies between $450 billion and $550 billion every year. In this presentation, you will learn ways to build rapport and trust using a handful of techniques focused on you as an individual.

 

This presentation will share how to use body language and energy, and how to create audio and visual cues based on neuroscience leadership and programming to align your messages with your broader culture initiatives. Small changes in things like verbal cues, body language, and facial expressions can have an impact in how you are perceived by others.

 

Whether you are working exclusively online, in person or hybrid, building trust with employees and team members can be a challenge. In this presentation, we discuss different strategies to build bridges with members in all areas of your organization. We will focus on different strategies to help you gain credibility, establish trust and rapport quickly in person as well online.

Making Sense of Social Media Recruiting for Executives 

Digital recruitment using social media might be the key to an effective overall recruiting strategy, but the real question is: “where to begin?” This session for your executive teams will walk you through how to prioritize your digital recruiting and marketing options and show you how to develop strategic initiatives designed to drive change and establish buy-in so that you can move forward in your digital and online recruitment efforts.

 

This session will provide an overview of the role of social media and technology recruitment efforts to those of the larger organization. Our session will focus on establishing return on investment, establishing metrics, and capitalizing on relationships with other departments outside of HR including marketing, IT, and communications.

  • Establish small wins that you can build on focused on executive leadership communication.

  • The top five creative digital strategies that every recruiter and HR leader should consider from programmatic ad buying, and social media to using video in your recruiting.

All Conference Passes are contingent upon your organization receiving the USA TODAY Top Workplaces 2026 Award. If your organization does not receive the award, your Conference Registration will be canceled without penalty.

Confirmed registrants may cancel and receive a full refund minus a $150 cancellation fee for general attendees through February 27, 2026. Cancellation request received from February 28, 2026 through March 20, 2026 are nonrefundable but can be transferred to another member within your organization. Cancellations on or after March 21, 2026 are nonrefundable and transfers are not permitted.
