Hiring Humans: Balancing human touch and technology to create the ultimate job seeker experience

Tuesday, April 7, 1:30 PM

In a world driven by AI and automation, hiring teams face a new challenge: how to scale with tech without losing human touch. This session explores how companies can blend smart technology with real human connection to create hiring experiences that are both efficient and personal. We will look at where automation shines, when human judgment matters most, and how AI can enhance the human feel of the process when used wisely.

Leave the session with practical ideas to build a hiring experience that is fast, fair, and still deeply human.

1. Blend tech with intentional human moments.
Use automation for speed and consistency, but design deliberate touchpoints—like personalized communication or human-led decision moments—to maintain authenticity and connection.

2. Let humans do what humans do best.
Reserve human judgment for high-impact areas such as assessing fit, building relationships, and handling nuanced conversations, while letting AI handle repetitive or data-heavy tasks.

3. Use AI to enhance—not replace—the human experience.
When implemented thoughtfully, AI can make hiring feel more personal by enabling faster responses, reducing bias, and freeing recruiters to engage more meaningfully with candidates.
